About

At the age of twelve, I was honoured to have my portfolio reviewed by one of Disney’s ‘nine old men’, Eric Larson. He encouraged me to continue drawing, study art and go for it! Since earning a B.A. in Fine Arts from Cal State Northridge, I’ve worked for companies such as Universal Studios, The Disney Channel, Dick Clark, National Assistance League, The Musicians Union & ALS of Nevada. These experiences showed me the benefit of creative problem solving. Most recently I was appointed by singer/songwriter/producer, Gloria Jones, to become the Creative Director of the non-profit “Light of Love Foundation” & The Marc Bolan School of Music & Film (Sierra Leone, West Africa).

As a professional musician, I have helped my fellow musicians by creating unique band logos, designing CD covers & apparel illustrations for publicity purposes. Rock ‘n’ roll is the greatest influence on my art, and it’s within this mindset that the Avant Fauves movement was born. By implementing both hand drawn illustrations & digital art, my pieces balance cutting edge graphics with the warmth of fine art. I thoroughly enjoy doing character studies of interesting personalities where the use of art brings out a depth of soul through portraiture.

My roots are Celtic, but I was born in Puerto Rico and spent a portion of my childhood in Mexico – so I like my beer dark and my food spicy!

  1. Hi Suzanne , I have just returned from Sierra Leone, and to watch three of our students play their first song for me on the guitar was a very big surprise (since they just started class two months ago)! They are gifted in their approach to the strumming of the strings. Let’s work hard to make this happen!! Also, another time was walking through the town of Makeni and students greeting each other with Marc Bolan – it is growing !!!!

  2. Hello Suzanne,
We would like to send a very warm welcome and lots of hug’s from our students in Makeni at the Marc Bolan School Of Music & Film. Next year you will be receiving a lot of news, in fact our first workshop with 100 shakers to arrive soon will begin in January. Can you imagine what fun we will have along with the 20 Mandingo drummers coming to add their sounds? Our president of the Light Of Love Foundation, Tony Mann – in New York, has plans for coming in April. Hopefully we will have learned at least one Marc Bolan song…… We are starting the M D SOUP KITCHEN to feed the elders in our community every Saturday, served by our students. Music lives, helping others is very important for us, since Marc was a giver. Tenki Tenki
